Word For Today..Hope

Hope of Light.
Hope
Hope is the Light that shines through the dark room.  I had hope for so many expectations. I had great hope for the things I wanted to accomplish in the year but like many, all my wishes did not come true but some did and I am grateful. I had moments i wanted to give up, i felt the pain, experienced the defeat but i am staying strong and hopeful.
I also know you had many wishes of Love, Job, Good health/Life, Marriages, Desire for Peace and so many more. And I can imagine, some were not achieved or didn't happen. I know for some of us the year did not go as planned; And now the year is closing its doors against us what do we with our unaccomplished desire and plan. Do you throw them away or keep them?
I will say keep them. Keep them, add more things to the list for 2015. I am keeping mine and adding more things because there is hope. It is only when the life is gone that the hope of such an individual is gone but as long as their is life hope lives.
Let the hope for better things help us keep dreams alive. Hope is all we have to keep us in this upside world. Hope lightens the way, the heart and gives us courage to face tomorrow. Hope is brings believe. Lets hope for a better tomorrow for our nation, our children and the future. Hope Lives, Hope is real.
Keep Living and Hoping.

Good morning Lovelies.

Word For Today

Life can only be beautiful as you paint it-How? Paint how you envision your life in your mind, how you want to look like, what you tend to achieve in life. Feel the beauty of life from your heart and mind. Most of the physical things that take place in our lives are the things we have felt in our heart. If you feel and paint positive thoughts you will get it vise-a-vise. A beautiful life is built by prayer, sacrifice, patience and Love. The Good book says "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he". And a famous philosopher said"I think therefore I am".
Life is only as beautiful as you paint it through your thinking. Think positive, experience the beauty of life in your heart and they will manifest to the physical. Norman said Change your thoughts and you change your world.
Make your life beautiful by saying the right words and creating the right thoughts. Think Positive!!!

"My Watch": What is the "Dirty Secret" in Obasanjo's Book? Read excerpt

It is a great deal that our leaders past are documenting the details and history of the political sphere in Nigeria. Chinua Achebe did so in "There was a country"; Now Former president Olusegun Obsanjo in  "My watch".  How much of the information in this Book is true?
What is in Baba's Book that the politicians do not want Nigerians to know? They have gone extra-mile to make sure that the success and launch of the book is stalled. From what i have gathered the books has details of happening' s during the Obsanjo's tenure, from 1999-2007. Also, there are spilled secrets about  the third term bid and those behind it, and the betrayal of the former Deputy president Atiku. Here, is an excerpt from the book culled from LIB. You all Should read this... Share your thoughts.

"By the Constitution, I had to inaugurate or prorogue the National Assembly on June 4, 1999. The most important officer in the National Assembly is the senate president and that office had been zoned to the South-east. And here was where Atiku Abubakar, my vice-president,first showed his hand and his character.

Word for Today..

Hello good morning, I am sorry i have been gone for some days. I have been busy with day job, it will happen for awhile please bear with me . And Thank you for holding my spot for me and please continue to do so.

On this kind note, I want to say strength comes through Christ Jesus. Sometimes you feel you cannot do it, it seems difficult, Have tried asking for help? I have had similar feelings these past days but i did ask God to help me. And some how it is working, I take one step at a time. Your body may be weak but your spirit is willing, then ask your spirit to take over the body(authority in Christ Jesus).
"Have I not commanded you? Be Strong and Courageous; do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you where ever you go" Joshua 1:9.
This chapter in Joshua says it all. There is deep strength within which God has deposited in you. If it feels like it is the end, the strength for another new beginning is within you; for the tears the strength for finding new Joy is within; for the pain the strength to heal has been given. He has promised to be with us where ever we go both in our joy and pain. Tap into this promise.
Emmanuel-God is with you, God is with me, God is with us. Amen

Have a fine day lovelies.

My Love Story: Love, The Definition

Love, the definition

So I have thought about this topic a million times and how to start the first topic for this blog but I have either being Lazy or scared. But I saw a topic on it somewhere, which has just awoken this thought again. And this topic is LOVE, as I introduce this first post on it I hope we can rub minds, share ideas and solve Love Issues. As I said, it is an introduction/definition. I hope you really enjoy it (*Coversface*).

The very first time I feel in love I cried, I think I was about eleven years old. I wept bitterly and joyously but at that moment I knew I wanted to experience this, let people know it exist and let life revolve around this four lettered words. I know you are wondering who I feel in Love with at that young age, hmmm, I feel in love with this beautiful amazing Indian movie, Mohabbatein which stared Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, I can’t share the details now just watch it. Though it was just a movie it taught me the first thing I learned about Love, which are CHOICE and the HEART. Away from my Indian Love, after many years of my love encounter I have seen many proclaimed love fail and many love win. Continueooooo.....

Word For Today

"I will worship toward thy holy temple,
and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness
and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified
thy word above all thy name".

Be ye Thankful. Have a lovely Sunday.

Boko Haram: What could go wrong if Apapa-Lagos is Bombed?

view of Apapa
Ariel view of Apapa
Above is an aerial view of what the foremost port area Apapa, Lagos looks like. Most people who are familiar with the Apapa axis know this area is a Crude Oil zone. This where refined crude oil (fuel, kerosene etc) is dispatched to other major depots around the country. Most of our crude oil practically lives in this zone. Can you imagine the damage this would cause our nation and the state if it goes in flames? There will be damage to both life and properties. God forbid, the terrorist to win.

Report says, intelligence has revealed a possible attack on Lagos, with strong likelihood that the Apapa Seaport is the target again. The police command in charge of the Port Said that security has been beefed up within the Sea Port and around Lagos.

We recall that in June this year, there was an attack in Apapa at the Folawiyo Energy Depot at creek Road where the suicide bombers launched a twin explosion. Later in July, Shekau Abubakar the leader of the Boko Haram sect claimed responsibility of the attack, according to the French news agency, Agence France-Presse.
We really hope that the security agencies in Lagos are at alert because we dont want to be sleeping to realize our homes are burning; we were sleeping when the Chibok girls were abducted in April till date the haven't been found nor those responsible persecuted.
Lagosians be vigilant.

Word For Today.....Grace

Who said you don’t need grace?

I have always seen grace as a more saving embodiment than the favour embodiment. Grace has often been said to be an “unmerited favour”; something we do not deserve but we have. We have been taught how to be appreciate Grace, but no one tells us how powerful it is how nor how to use it.  Grace is the very thing that Christ came to bring for mankind; it is that unseen ability that was given to us to help us get by each day. Grace fortifies you to handle the day to day hassles and activities. Grace is the spiritual ornament that helps us live a holy and righteous life.
Grace helps me not to curse the bus conductor who refuses to return my balance even after I have paid him, now that is Grace. Grace saves you from doing the wrong thing. Have you had a situation where you knew that if you go somewhere or you about to do something that will wrong God then somehow that something did not sail through, I mean that meeting was cancelled, you couldn’t go or something happened to stop it? That moment is the moment of saving Grace. That moment failed because you know it is wrong but you couldn’t say no and you needed someone to help you say no.

Paul in his messages to the churches always repeated this line of words “Grace be unto” (Phil 1:3, Heb 13:25). His emphasis on Grace showed how important grace is needed to live daily. If Paul could relate with Grace, who are you not to need Grace. He said, all I do is through the Grace of God. You need Grace even if you are the pastor in your mighty church you need the saving grace. Whether you are the least person you need grace or you think you can do it all on your own you need grace. Everyone needs Grace it is not limited to race, culture or financial standards but it is only for those that Love Christ (Eph 6:24).
Grace builds blocks of love, creates room for patience and mercy. Grace reminds you of the word of God. Grace works ahead of you to make the crooked road straight, Grace chastises and disciplines you. Grace is the sign of the Love of God towards mankind. (Gal 1:3)
May the Grace of the Lord abide with us now and ever more. Amen

Innoson Cars in Pictures: Would You Buy the IVM Fox or any Innoson Cars?

innoson cars
IVM UMU
Innoson Vehicle manufacturing unveiled its new cars IVM Umu, IVM Uzo and IVM Fox. This Cars as we already know are manufactured by Business Mogul Chief Innocent Chukwuma in Nnewi Anambra state.

The arising concerns is, would Innoson be able to dominate the already thriving foreign cars like Toyota, Honda, Hyundai etc? Would Nigerians patronize and support the growth of our own made in Nigeria Cars?

Also there is the issue of quality, information shows that 70% of the parts used are locally sourced which is a good. Some of us see the Innoson cars on our roads or own them, what is the durability and quality of the car and its efficiency to function on our Nigerian roads effectively? Is there anything that Innoson should change or add to enhance acceptability not only in the Nigerian Market but beyond?

Meanwhile, some people are already in love with the IVM Fox and are willing to buy it.(continue below to see IVM Fox)
Well, I have to wait for IVM Onye to be made and Gifted to me(lols). Patronize made in Nigeria. Continue below to see IVM Fox and what the car looks like inside.....

Word for Today...

Hast Thou not Known?
hast thou not heard, that the
everlasting God, the Lord, the
Creator of the ends of the
earth, fainteth not, neither is
weary? there is no searching
of his understanding.
He giveth power to the
faint; and to them that have
no might he increaseth
strenght.
Even the youths shall
faint and be weary, and the
young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon
the Lord shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up
with wings as eagles; they
shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40: 28-31
May all our strength be renewed daily as we wait on the Lord. Amen

Happy Sunday Lovelies (Last Sunday in November!Yea!!!).

Quotes for the Day

Africa for us , R101

These notable quotes is to remind us who we are, that we are Africans and that is who we will always be.
Even though if it looks like the nation/continent is on fire we are capable of putting-out the fire started by our country men, that even if we are the "dark continent" we should not forget that "Black is the colour" original and rich, we should always remember wherever we are that Africa is for us and it is up to us to build our homes and lit up our hills again where the world will see us shine through.
There is hope for Africa, there is Hope in Africa.
Africa is a continent in flames. And deep down, if we really accepted that Africans were equal to us, we would all do more to put the fire out. We're standing around with water cans, when what we really need is the fire brigade.
Bono
If I were not African, I wonder whether it would be clear to me that Africa is a Place where the people do not need limp gifts of fish but sturdy fishing rods and fair access to the pond. I wonder whether I would realize that while African nations have a failure of leadership, they also have dynamic people with agency and voices.
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Let's face it- think of Africa, and the first images that come to mind are of war, poverty, famine and flies. How many of us really know anything at all about the truly great ancient African civilizations, which in their day, were just as splendid and glorious as any on the face of the earth?
Henry Louis Gates
My family has very strong women. My mother never laughed at my dream of Africa, even though everyone else did because we didn't have any money; because Africa was the 'dark continent' and because I was a girl.
Jane Goodall

Africa for Africans... at home and abroad!
Marcus Garvey.

Ferguson in Pictures: Strong Images from the Protests

Ferguson Riots
Burning Cars in Ferguson
The Grand Jury in Ferguson yesterday gave their verdict by allowing a cop who shot a Black teenager Micheal Brown in August walk free. According to reports the jury found the testimonies of the eyewitnesses inconsistent.
This decision has sparked a United states protest, in Ferguson the affected city, in New York and in Washington D.C. In Ferguson, the protest is out of control, cars, stores were burnt, guns were been fired at the police and tear gas and rubber bullets is being used to disperse the crowd. People are angry at the verdict and are showing their anger by protesting, some of the signs on the placards also send out messages about the US condoning indiscipline among police and showing racial preference when carrying out their duties.

Also the president has asked the public to protest peacefully and there maybe a Federal investigation on the matter.

If the protests will continue for Long only time will tell.

Meanwhile, another shooting of a black teenager aged 12 was reported in Ohio, US.

2015 Elections: Ibori Contests for Delta State House of Assembly

Embedded image permalink
Erhiatake Ibori
The daughter of James Ibori, former governor of Delta state is seeking for a position in the house of representative. As we all know the former governor was indicted of corruption including money laundering and he was finally imprisoned in the UK where he is still serving jail term.
His daughter, Erhiatake Ibori is contesting for the position of the Delta state House of Assembly, Ethiope west constituency.

The problem is, some people feel she should not be vying for any position considering her father's history. Should the children of politicians be made to pay for the sins of their father? what do you think?

See what a concerned group said on tweeter about the issue
Ibori daughter campaigning for elective position in Nigeria. Nothing is impossible in Nigeria.

Word For Today.... Forgiveness Part 2

Forgiveness
Forgiveness & Confession
I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Psalm 32:5
Confession is as important as forgiveness. The passage above illustrates there are three process to ultimate forgiveness. The first is acknowledgement, you to accept that you have really done something wrong against God or neighbour. Taking responsibility for your actions, you must accept within your heart that you were wrong and you are willing to take the blame to the very end. The second process is openness, now that you have acknowledged your fault you need to be open about it. You have been hiding it for years, months, weeks; it is about time you come out with the secret. When you continue to keep the skeleton hidden it taunts you the more and you will have no peace. The third process is Confession. Confession- willingness to say all the wrongs you did without hiding any of it. These three process paves way for forgiveness whether from Man or God.

WHY SHOULD I CONFESS?
You should confess because you find peace. When you wrong someone and you decide not to confess, all you will carry around with you is guilt and there will be no peace for you. You should confess so you can be saved and experience mercy from God (Job 40:14, Prov 28:13). If you can confess to God he will save you from the wrong road on which you are heading. Don’t ever think it is too late for that confession. This time is the right time.

WILL I BE FORGIVEN?
Certainly, God is ever faithful and ready to forgive us all our wrongs (1John 1:9), only if we confess our faults. His mercy dwells with us as long as we fear him (Psalm 103:8, 11, 17). God is so merciful that even his throne is the “Mercy Seat”. The person whom you have wronged will also forgive you, if you will confess to him/her. And you will never know if he/she will forgive you unless you try.

Acceptance, Confession brings about Forgiveness; forgiveness is a form of Love. It is not too late to make that confession and it is not unforgivable. Forgiveness is like the rain in the desert. Forgiveness heals the heartland.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: Men Would You Like to Experience the Pain of ChildBirth?

Picture: Culled from the Internet

Women isn't it a great idea to see men experience the pain of childbirth hmmm, lols.

So, there is a new technology in China that has made it possible for men to experience childbirth. The birth simulator only enables the men to only feel half of the pain women go through during child bearing.
In a trial exercise, a Chinese man who used the technology literally begged the nurse to stop because the pain was too much. Watch the video by clicking on this linkChinese men experience pain of childbirth - Asia-pacific - Al Jazeera English

So Nigerian men, if this technology were here in Nigeria would you want to experience the pain of child birth? Nigerian women would you like the idea? Share your views.

Quote of the Day

I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

FULL VIDEO: Watch Lawmakers Force their way into the National Assembly

Below is the Video of what happened at the National Assembly Today, 20th November 2014.

The House of representative was supposed to reconvene today to discuss the extension of the Emergency Rule in the three states, Adamawa, Yobe and Borno states but the members of the lower house meet security agencies at the National Assembly and the gates under lock and key. After so much trouble the Members gained access into the house and held a close door meeting.

What does Situations like this speak of the Great Nigeria?
In a country where democracy is supposed to exist we see party politics spearheading the leadership of a country. There are so many issues behind the events that took place today.
We begin by asking Who gave the police the information that hoodlums will invade the National Assembly? Was it necessary to use tear gas against the lawmakers?  Even when the police saw the presence of the speaker, why was the gate still locked? Were the PDP and APC lawmakers locked out or Just the APC members? watch Video below

See Below the statement from the IGP, stating his reason forlocking the gates against the law makers....
