BOKO HARAM CRISIS: WHICH WAY NIGERIA

The men behind the mask have continued to cause the great Niger Area lot of trouble, Yet it looks like the incessant killing isn't coming to an end but has just begun. And we got questions, numerous unanswered questions. Few days ago someone said to me "I barely sleep these days, when i sleep for some time i look through the window for suspicious movements", and i wonder if it is going to get any better.

Which way Nigeria? After 100 years are we going backwards or forward. In recent times, our front pages have been splashed with the atrocities of the masked men and i wonder where Nigeria lost its guard for insurgents to take the lead.

The Military, we have the best foot soldiers in Africa and we about 5000 men in action for UN peace keeping mission but our own home is on fire they don't seem to be able to salvage it. Why cant the 5000 men on UN peace keeping mission be withdrawn to come home to combat till all is well at home? And i find find it laughable that the soldiers are unequipped to combat the masked men, between 2012 and 2013 the military received about one trillion Naira to battle this insurgency, the foreign aid (cash wise) has been enormous in the past years. The recent budget has about N130.7billion given to them and another 3.8billion underway for approval. With the millions and billions being called out Army generals say there is inadequate funding, i wonder if this trillions are just in paper or it is chilling in another man's account? well, like someone said "stealing is not corruption".
Still on the military, am sure we all have heard the Army Generals tell us how Chibok is been Surrounded with the army, well that is a lie from the pit of hell. Do you know why towns like Chibok, Gwoza and other towns around there are still Vulnerable because no military presence, no security check points, Click Here to read the report from a CNN reporter who visited chibok. No Military wants to combat with men that have larger arsenals of weapon than they do this is why the villagers resorted to protecting themselves when the military fleed. I also wonder how the Police college in Gwoza respond when they hear the fight clash, shootings and the shouting of villagers, do they lock the Gates up and hide. Gwoza is the border town between Nigeria and Cameroon and about 20km from Chibok.

In their words, the military is doing their best but what is the government doing. Governors like Shettima whom their states are prone to these attack are only seen when they are called out. Well i remember Shettima will be giving 150million to rehabilitate the girls, am really wondering what his idea of rehabilitation is? And when the other 274 girls return how much will he spend on rehabilitation? And am still waiting for the spending committees to bring the report on how 200 girls went missing, it has been two weeks since the committee started this waka... And i totally salute Mr president for seeking international intervention after the citizenry took placards to the street to demand answers for the lost girls. Sometimes i wonder who is leading the country is it GCFR Jonathan Ebele or the Masked Men Boko Haram, the masked men seem to determine when we laugh and cry, when we go out or stay indoors, they control the Nigeria metropolis. Who is in Charge?

For how long are we going to say the masked men are unknown, the northern elders, leaders no one knows them? The entire nation not one person knows the boko haram circus? I do not believe so, it is either we are living in a National Myopia, we are acting delusional or we think Boko is only an illusion that will fade, which is it?

Only time will tell how the activities of the masked men will turn out but if we wait for time to tell us that, it may be too late. If the Unity of the nation isn't negotiable , how we should live should be negotiated. If indeed the national conference was indeed representing the true Nigerians and represents the Nigeria interest, the issue of BH would not be rampant at this period of the so called national dialogue.

Which way Nigeria? The disintegration called for by the likes of FFK the solution?
