Court Orders Sule Lamido & Sons to Remain In Prison Until September 28th

A Federal high court has ordered the former governor of Jigawa state Sule Lamido and two of his sons, Aminu and Mustapha who were accused of fraud to be remanded in Kano Prison till September 28th when their bail application will be heard.(Sule Lamido and Sons pictured above)
Sule Lamido and his sons are being accused of receiving N1.35 billion bribe from government contractors when he was governor of the state.
The presiding judge, Justice Evelyn Anyadike ruled that the former governor, his sons and one of his aides, Aminu Mustapha be kept in Kano prison despite a plea from their counsel that they should be transferred to the EFCC cell in Abuja or Kano.  The EFCC counsel, Chile Okoroma, objected to the plea , claiming that the cells in both Kano and Abuja are full to capacity.
