PDP Defectors Should Not Expect Automatic Appointment in My Govt- Says Buhari

The President elect, Gen Buhari who addressed newsmen after casting his vote at his polling unit in Daura Katsina state yesterday April 11th, said that PDP defectors should not expect automatic appointment as ministers in his government.
"I have no fears of PDP defectors. The people who are defecting will only have influence in their constituencies. Since their constituencies are now controlled by the APC, their influence is, therefore, limited. I hope the people that are defecting will accept the fact that they are joining the people who succeeded. So, I don’t think they will just come and say they want to be ministers next month, simply because they were ministers before.” he said

"The Oba's Words Matters"-Chimamanda Adichie's Response to the Oba's Threat

This piece was written by Chimamanda Adichie in response to the Oba's threat. Read below....

"A few days ago, the Oba of Lagos threatened Igbo leaders. If they did not vote for his governorship candidate in Lagos, he said, they would be thrown into the lagoon. His entire speech was a flagrant performance of disregard. His words said, in effect: I think so little of you that I don’t have to cajole you but will just threaten you and, by the way, your safety in Lagos is not assured, it is negotiable.
There have been condemnations of the Oba’s words. Sadly, many of the condemnations from non-Igbo people have come with the ugly impatience of expressions like ‘move on,’ and ‘don’t be over-emotional’ and ‘calm down.’ These take away the power, even the sincerity, of the condemnations. It is highhanded and offensive to tell an aggrieved person how to feel, or how quickly to forgive, just as an apology becomes a non-apology when it comes with ‘now get over it.’

5 common annnoying attitudes in Relationships

Indeed no relationship is perfect no matter how much you love each other. You both may have lots in common but it is possible you may disagree on some issues. This is not about Love but the fact that you both are still different individuals despite your coming together as one. He or she will sometimes do something to annoy regardless of the existing love. These are the 5 most common annoying things in relationship...
  1. Nagging - okay, we all feel the need to complain every once in a while, but when complaining becomes the main theme of your verbal expression, it becomes defined as nagging, and no one likes a nag. Nagging, to most, is annoying and frustrating and makes the person being nagged to like they can’t do anything right and they eventually grow tired of it and either leave the relationship or block out the nagging and stop caring.

Divorce: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Speaks about his on-going Divorce with his wife, Pastor Anita

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder of Believers Love World Ministry aka Christ Embassy, has finally spoken out about his divorce to his wife Pastor Anita after many months of silence. The Pastor who spoke to the congregation on Sunday evening during the monthly global communion service of the church said the allegations against him are crazy and he urged the church to pray for pastor Anita. Continue to read what he said in his address.....

"I heard that some media houses– especially in Nigeria, are writing some things against me. All sorts of frivolous charges, that’s crazy.
“You have to understand something about a man of God. A man of God is not just someone who worships God or preaches God. A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God, sinning against God.

“The only thing you might find will be a man of God, maybe in two different kinds of ways. Moses, for example, when he struck the rock twice, he was provoked by the anger of the people. It was not because he wanted to do something against the Lord. No man of God does something against the Lord.

"It is In your best Interest that You vote For APC" Says Gen. Buhari to Lagosians

The President-elect Gen. Buhari has asked Ndi-igbo and other non-indigenes in Lagos to forgive the Oba of Lagos and move on for peace sake, and urged them to vote for APC. The president elect said this in a rally held in Lagos, yesterday for the APC gubernatorial candidate in Lagos.

Gen Buhari said Lagos is a home for all and we should look beyond ethnic differences. He further reiterated his commitments to rebuilding Lagos if APC is voted into power. See extract from the statement below;
“I admire what your governor has done in terms of mobilising revenue to sustain Lagos development. I have a lot of respect for Governor Fashola for his hard work, commitment to the state and the country. There is no doubt that Lagos is a mini-Nigeria. We are all here and it has been mentioned by previous speakers that everybody (tribe) is adequately represented in Lagos.

“So, I assure you. If you vote for the continuity of APC in Lagos, you stand to gain more. It is in your interest that you vote for the APC.
“Please when you go home tell your neighbours, relatives and even the opposition to please bury the hatchet. Let them fall in line and vote the APC.

“When we were coming in our bus, Fashola told me how Lagos State had been spending to maintain the federal infrastructure here such as buildings, roads and other institutions. I had promised before that if I won the election and became the President, I would make Lagos my priority. Governor Fashola is already holding to me to that promise so I would like the incoming governor to listen carefully and make sure he makes me honour my undertaking.”
