AND NIGERIA FALLS OUT OF THE WORLD CUP GAMES...WELCOME HOME
Yea, Super Eagles are coming home after an intense play with the french side and eventually conceding two goals to drop out of this phase. I think that Enyeama did an amazing job with all his saves in this match, i am rooting for him to clinch the medal for best keeper and also i found the defense and middle field quiet ineffective except for Onazi who brought the heat down on France i hope he recovers quickly.
All the players did amazingly fine but i can heard some whispers about a player who seem to be idle during the game... no names called.
Nigerians share your thoughts about the game and how we can make the Eagles better.
WELCOME HOME BOYS....

BREAD AND BUTTER CELEBRITIES AND FAILED MARRIAGES BY ETCETERA
Another piece from singer and columnist Etcetera. Read and share your view..........
If you listen to relationship programmes on radio, you would notice that many Nigerians are indeed struggling with their relationships and marriages and they are all seeking help. And because they do not have a glaring media attention serialising their issues, making judgments, giving strong commentary, poking them emotionally, there are chances of their relationships and marriages problems being solved.
Why is it that with the fame, fortune and good looks, our celebrities’ marriages still don’t work? It has been a strange phenomenon that the union of people in the limelight hardly lasts, indeed. So the question is, why do most celebrity marriages crash frequently?
Fame is dangerous to relationships for many reasons. Most troubling is that it demands that a couple spend time away from each other. One indicator of happiness in a relationship is the amount of time spent with one’s partner.
Spending time together is necessary to sustain a relationship, yet celebrities tend to ignore this and only focus on how to become more famous. You need to keep up with each other’s lives, look into each other’s eyes, and be in the same physical space to feel the mood and emotions from each other.
Without that, you might love each other, but staying “in love” demands much more than occasional get-together. CONTINUE ...

BISHOP CHUKWUMA WARNS BOKO HARAM TO STAY AWAY FROM THE S'EAST
The Arch-bishop of the Enugu Province of the Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, Thursday warned members and sponsors of the outlawed Islamist sect, Boko Haram to stay away from the south-east zone as any of the group’s activities noticed in the zone would be treated as a direct invitation to war.
The Anglican cleric gave this warning following the recent interception of suspected Boko Haram members in Abia and Enugu states.
According to him, with the incessant bombings across the country, the forthcoming 2015 general elections might as well be sitting on a keg of gun-powder, as nobody is safe anymore in Nigeria.
He therefore stated that time has come for the federal government to adopt a radical approach in checkmating the activities of Boko Haram.
I AM A CATHOLIC, I HAVE NEVER STOLEN IN MY LIFE - FORMER BANK PHB MD
A former Managing Director of Bank PHB, Francis Atuche, told an Ikeja High court that he has never stolen anything in his life, and it was absurd for EFCC to have labelled him a thief. While speaking in court, he said he joined United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, as a clerk on April 4th,1982 in Ibadan and was promoted to the post of supervisor just after nine months.
He also testified that the various schools he attended attested to his good character by awarding him excellent testimonials. Stating that, and I quote NAN, ‘I am a Catholic. I cannot be a thief. I was baptised in the church and before I left primary school, I have started receiving Holy Communion which I do every day. I cannot receive Holy Communion when I am not in the state of grace. I cannot be a thief because God has been gracious to me,’’ he said.
Atuche and his wife, Elizabeth, are standing trial for allegedly stealing N25.7 billion belonging to Bank PHB now Keystone Bank. They were charged to court by the EFCC alongside a former Chief Financial Officer of the bank, Ugo Anyanwu.

LESS THAN 50% OF NIGERIANS HAVE ACCESS TO POWER SUPPLY- SAYS NEBO
Prof Chinedu Nebo
Less than fifty per cent of Nigerians currently have access to electricity, Minister of Power, Professor Chinedu Nebo, has said.
Prof. Nebo, who disclosed this at the 15th Herbert Macaulay bi-ennial lecture organised by the Engineering Faculty of University of Nigeria, Nsukka, yesterday, said the federal government was, however, working hard to increase access to 75 per cent by 2020.
He said government was also looking at the possibility of exploiting the country’s untapped coal resource, currently estimated to be in excess of three billion tons in reserve, to power electricity in the country.
He explained that coal production declined in Nigeria due mainly to the discovery of oil and the perception that coal was a dirty energy, adding that a large quality of coal deposits was wasting away in such states as Enugu, Benue, Kogi and Gombe.
The minister noted that with the current shortages of gas, the federal government was pursuing coal development as new frontier in the country. Continue...

PHOTOSTORY: NAMES, PICTURES OF ABDUCTED CHIBOK GIRLS
These are the pictures of the 195 missing Chibok girls still in the hands of their abductors since April 14th 2014.
The former UK Prime Minister and UN Special Envoy for Global Education, Gordon Brown, who was in Nigeria shared his findings with this day newspaper. Gordon Brown writes thus,
Each girl has a story, a future they had planned, a family anxiously waiting for them at home.
I was shown these pictures after visiting Nigeria this week. I met the leader of the community council in Chibok, the town from which the girls were abducted.
Slowly and with tears in his eyes, he flicked through a file in which the names and photographs of the girls have been recorded by Arise TV chief Nduka Obaigbena.
Not even the police and army have managed to compile such detail he has amassed from talking to the parents of the kidnapped teenagers. Continue to see more...,

ON-AIR-PERSONALITIES, YOU HAVE FINALLY KILLED RADIO- SAYS ETCETRA
And this weekend Etcetra brings it down on the On-Air-Personalities (OAPS) with their fake accents and choral praise singing on celebrity and their desire for stardom. But have Nigerian OAPs really killed the radio vibe? Read his article below and share your thoughts...
Radio is in a period where only the ‘blings’ and ‘blingers’ are getting all the attention. This must be the worst time to listen to radio in Nigeria. Consider some of the on-air-personalities, all they do is talk about what their favourite celebrities are wearing.
How easily manipulated and distracted can they be? A fake accent has never been more glorified than today.
With on-air-personalities chasing celebrity status themselves, radio listeners are never going to get any unbiased assessment of issues.
The few independent thinkers amongst them who provide this unbiased assessment are being mocked and called boring people. How do you listen to an OAP on radio who only talks about cars, money and women for hours?
It is becoming a consensus on the streets that naija radio stations are becoming more boring with each passing day. Continue....
