Chad Bans the Use of Full Face Veil (Burqas) after Suicide Bombings


The Chadian government has banned the use of full-face Muslim veil called burqas in the country after a suicide bomber(Boko Haram) killed about 34 people in a twin blast on Monday. More than 100 people were injured in the blast at central police station and a police school in the capital.
The Chadian Prime Minister Kalzeube Pahimi Deubet, who met religious leaders on Wednesday to discuss the matter said,
"
Even the burqas for sale in the markets will be withdrawn,"
"Wearing the burqas must stop immediately from today, not only in public places and schools but throughout the whole of the country, "he said


He also said clothing's showing only the eyes are not allowed and anyone found wearing the Burqas will be arrested, tried and sentenced in summary proceedings.".

The Prime Minister asked the religious leaders to spread the message amongst their members in the mosques and holy places
