Word For Today.....Grace

Who said you don’t need grace?

I have always seen grace as a more saving embodiment than the favour embodiment. Grace has often been said to be an “unmerited favour”; something we do not deserve but we have. We have been taught how to be appreciate Grace, but no one tells us how powerful it is how nor how to use it.  Grace is the very thing that Christ came to bring for mankind; it is that unseen ability that was given to us to help us get by each day. Grace fortifies you to handle the day to day hassles and activities. Grace is the spiritual ornament that helps us live a holy and righteous life.
Grace helps me not to curse the bus conductor who refuses to return my balance even after I have paid him, now that is Grace. Grace saves you from doing the wrong thing. Have you had a situation where you knew that if you go somewhere or you about to do something that will wrong God then somehow that something did not sail through, I mean that meeting was cancelled, you couldn’t go or something happened to stop it? That moment is the moment of saving Grace. That moment failed because you know it is wrong but you couldn’t say no and you needed someone to help you say no.

Paul in his messages to the churches always repeated this line of words “Grace be unto” (Phil 1:3, Heb 13:25). His emphasis on Grace showed how important grace is needed to live daily. If Paul could relate with Grace, who are you not to need Grace. He said, all I do is through the Grace of God. You need Grace even if you are the pastor in your mighty church you need the saving grace. Whether you are the least person you need grace or you think you can do it all on your own you need grace. Everyone needs Grace it is not limited to race, culture or financial standards but it is only for those that Love Christ (Eph 6:24).
Grace builds blocks of love, creates room for patience and mercy. Grace reminds you of the word of God. Grace works ahead of you to make the crooked road straight, Grace chastises and disciplines you. Grace is the sign of the Love of God towards mankind. (Gal 1:3)
May the Grace of the Lord abide with us now and ever more. Amen
