Why Osinbanjo Cannot Be Part of Buhari's Security meetings for now-Dailypost

There has been side comments that the Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo is being sidelined in the security meetings between President Buhari and the Security officials. Osinbanjo was absent at the security meetings held on the 2nd of June, 2015 and recently on the 10th of June, 2015 which has raised some questions.
According to Daily Post who spoke with a security source, who said Osinbanjo will be let into the security details of the country only and when his loyalty is to the country and not to his godfather Tinubu. See below the statement from the security Source,
"I am sure he would have been invited if he had security background. Being a Professor of Law is fine, but in terms of intelligence and access to security information, you are no where near the rank of Colonel or equivalent in the Nigeria Military.”
“Look, I have watched some footages that if the VP gets to see, he would lose appetite for days.

"Police is the Least Corrupt Institution" Says Inspector General Arase

The Inspector General of police, Mr Solomon Arase has said the police is the least corrupt officers compared to other institutions. He made this statement at the annual symposium during a Feast of Barracuda organised by the National Association of Seadogs in Abuja where he was represented by the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Wilson Inalegwu. The representative IG said,
“One of the first things he did was to set up the IGP’s Monitoring Teams. First of all the decision by the Police Management Team was to take out roadblocks across all our highways. It was not just to dismantle it, he set up the IGP Monitoring Team to ensure that these directives are enforced.”

“If you go across most of our highways now roadblocks have been reduced to the barest minimum, and anybody mounting roadblocks, does that at his risk.

“Presentations are also made where Commissioners of Police are invited to look at the situations across the country right from the condition of suspects in Police cells and they have a technical platform that enable them to monitor the behaviour and conduct of police officers on the road as they handle suspects.

PDP to Ogbeni Rauf: "Sell Helicopter to Pay Wokers Salary in Osun State"

The PDP has advised the Osun state Governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to sell the helicopter which he bought for security purpose in the state and use the proceeds to pay workers salary. The PDP alleged that the said shelicopter is being used for the Governor's personal trips. Read statement below,
"The PDP is urging the government to sell the helicopter Governor Aregbesola said was procured for the state. He should also stop frivolous trips to Cuba.

“What this administration told us was that the helicopter was to be used for surveillance, but we have since discovered that the machine is only serving the travelling needs of Mr. Aregbesola and his family. This remains one draining pipe that must be blocked.

“The governor and his aides should also forthwith stop travelling in chartered aircraft around the world. If President Muhammadu Buhari could be travelling on British Airways, even when aircrafts in presidential fleet are available, there is the need for Governor Aregbesola to borrow a leave.”

Like Caitlyn Jenner, Like Denrele, Like Charlie Boy: The Caitlyn Jenner transgender madness

And Etcetera writes this Punchy Piece...
And that’s how Bruce Jenner unveiled his new identity, leaving his male identity behind with Caitlyn. Trust Nigerians not to be left behind in the gossip and buzz it generated. A female radio presenter was like, “Oh my God,” so Bruce Jenner is now Caitlyn Jenner? What the hell is going on?”
Pleaseeeee, Nigerians should stop feigning surprise like they’ve not seen or heard anything like this before. You all should stop acting like we don’t have our own Denrele Edun. Mscheeeeeewwwww – is it because Bruce or Caitlyn (whatever she is called now) finally had enough balls to come out and say he is now a woman? It’s just a matter of time, Denrele will be woman enough and do same thing and give us something new to talk about aside from his Nkechi-like hairdo.

History is Made: Senate Passes 46Bills into Law in 10MINUTES

History is made as Nigerian Law makers  has passed 46 bills into law in 10MINUTES but they had 4years!
The 46 bills were passed into law yesterday, were introduced by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Rules and Business, Senator Ita Enang.
The passage of the bills in a very short time caused uproar among Senators leading to Senator Mark telling those who were not satisfied with the passage of the bills to come up tomorrow being the next legislative day with their names and signatures for consideration.
Before the bills were passed, the Senate suspended the Order 79 (1) of the Senate Standing Orders and deemed all the Bills as having passed first, second and third readings on the floor of the Senate and concur to same.

The passing of 46 bills in 10 minutes is particularly interesting, considering that the  National Assembly has spent N600 billion in four years but managed to pass only about 106 within the period.

Shouldn't there be a place for them in the Guinness World Record? What was the haste for the bills to be passed?

You did all that in accordance with your profession, putting the power of the camera and the voice, the message was eloquent for all of us to see and hear.

Etcetera writes: Buhari And And A New Nigeria

Just read Etcetera's piece which was published on Saturday, very Interesting

I wasn’t born in 1960. So, I have no memories of the euphoria of the first Independence Day. My early memories of independence are the celebrations in the small government school I attended. My well starched and ironed school uniform, national flags made of paper, singing the National Anthem, and a speech by the headmistress were the highlights. In my final year, I was allowed to pin a small flag on my shirt and hold a slightly bigger one in front of the school because I was a school prefect. Those were proud moments! Even after so many years, the pride still remains. It is totally different today.
